It's free.
Beach is open source. No licence fee, no subscription, no usage tiers.
Use it as you wish. With no conditions.
Beach imposes no vendor relationship and no roadmap dependency. There is no seat count, no dashboard to pay for, no enterprise tier. If Beach disappears tomorrow, your application keeps running — the shape is the value, not the library.
There is no open-core play, no hosted service waiting in the wings, and no VC timeline pulling the project toward a platform. Beach stays small and stays free because that is what makes it worth adopting in the first place.
The source repository is maintained by a small team and is not open for unsolicited pull requests. Governance is deliberately tight: the architectural invariant — that the interior never sees a protocol — is the whole value of Beach, and guarding it is the maintainers' job. Contribution is by invitation; adoption is by default.
If you'd like help with yours,
we'll help with ours.
The maintainers' consultancy is how Beach sustains itself. If you want help building an AI-enabled application — with or without Beach — we're happy to talk.
We'll trade our time for help with our bills. That is the whole commercial model.
